Grandparents’ Day At Treetops Early Childcare In Auckland

Honouring Whānau and Cherished Connections

At Treetops early childcare centres, we believe in nurturing strong bonds not just between tamariki and kaiako, but within the wider whānau too. That’s why Grandparents’ Day is one of our most heart-warming events of the year.

This special day is an opportunity for children to share their learning environment with their grandparents and create memories together. It’s a celebration of the unique love, wisdom and connection that grandparents bring into a child’s life.

A Day Full of Smiles, Stories and Shared Moments

Our early childcare centre becomes a hive of excitement as we welcome nanas, poppas, grannies, grandads – and all those who hold a special grandparent role – into our space.

Children proudly show their artwork, share songs and stories they’ve learned, and enjoy engaging in fun activities with their grandparents by their side. From morning tea to interactive play, Grandparents’ Day is filled with laughter, hugs, and sometimes even happy tears.

Why Grandparents' Day Matters

At Treetops, we understand that early childhood is about more than just learning numbers and letters – it’s about relationships, identity, and belonging. Grandparents often play a vital role in children’s lives, offering love, support and intergenerational knowledge.

By inviting them into our early childcare centre, we strengthen the connection between home and centre life, fostering a sense of community and continuity for each child.

Thank You to Our Wonderful Whānau

To all the grandparents who joined us – thank you. Your presence helps build a strong foundation of love and learning for your grandchildren. Whether you travelled across town or joined us from just around the corner, your visit meant the world to our tamariki.

We look forward to welcoming you again next year!
